They'll be saved already in BlackBerry World without backup as long as your signed in under your BBID.

Just go to BlackBerry World after your reset, MyWorld, MyApps, then Available. Every app you have downloaded under your BBID should be there. You'll just have to do a reinstall of each.

If you are doing a phone reset, I'd do a manual reinstall instead of a backup. If there was a problem with your previous apps (battery drain, ect) the problem will be reinstalled with a backup. A manual reinstall will give you a clean install.
