    I recently replaced my z10 (dead) with a new z10. I have a fairly recent backup file, but it won't let me restore it.

    The problem is that when I tried to register the new phone using my vzw.blackberry.net address, I got a detailed response saying something to the effect that blackberry.net addresses are being phased out and that I needed to change it. I did change it to another email. When I try to restore my backup to the new phone, it returns an error that the BBID is a mismatch.Now I am in the position where I lost my backup. Is it possible to somehow change the owner or can the file be opened and viewed through my PC?

    No the file can't be opened through your PC. If you changed the email, I'm afraid your BBID is gone.
