Here's the story. My Keyone motherboard crashed 2 weeks ago, I bought the same phone (keyone black edition that turned to be a BBB 100-1, an unlocked phone). Started device and made 2 system updates. When my old keyone died I was running 8.1, if I'm correct the ABG366 update to be precise. So, I succesfully updated my firmware to ABA693, which is an update from June, July 2018 I guess. Well, now I cannot update anymore, I insistently try to see if a new update is presente but no luck. This means I am on Android 7.1. meaning that I cannot restore my backed up data because of a different System version. I tried to install the update by pc, but it did not work just as it did not when I tried to recover the old phone. Any help?
I don't wanna wait months and be forced to reinstall all my apps and have my backed up data useless. It would take me so much time...
    PLEASE HELP!!!

What's the PRD of your new device? You can find it in the support center app or open your dialer and dial *#TESTER#

Try running the BlackBerry Upgrade tool. It will find and load the OS for your device - https://forums.crackberry.com/blackb...-tool-1117513/

Already tried and this software never worked for me, I followed precisely all the steps. It looks like I have to necessarily wait for the android system to upgrade on its own. Nonsense. Just because of this realization it took me 90 minutes to "try" to bring back most of my apps and configuration, but for now many contacts and some media are still in the back up that I can't access....

Clear the data and cache for Google Play Services, and reboot the device. Update should be waiting.

Just to confirm, you have a PRD-63116-041 (confirmed by typing *#837837# into the phone dialer), are on build ABA693, and checked for updates in settings?

Adding to this highly improbably situation, you also contend that the Mobile Upgrade Tool doesn't happen to work for you either? Can you elaborate?

I got news. Woke up and the update came on its own. Not i've got ore 8.1. Now the issue is, how do I restore the backup I had made 2 weeks ago? I can't fine any option to restore that specific backup. I also postponed the install of the new update because i want the backup on the latest firware I had when my Phone died? Any help? Clearly the backup is on Google drive
