    While travelling I use Data packs, and what annoys me that as soon as I switch on the data, everything in hub starts getting updated which takes lot of data charges. So i want to disable one or two apps to save data. Can this be done?

    For example, I only what to check my e mail, not fb or whats app or twitter.

    You can set via each app itself or you can simply go to

    Device monitor > cpu or storage > (on each app, open it up and tap 'close').
    This will close your app from updating until you reopen the app or restart your phone.
    Just make sure you don't restart your phone or you will have to run this process again.
