The phone was working perfectly at noon. Then I picked it up to use it at 6pm and its dead. I plugged it in to charge, no charging light blinks. Help. This phone is used lightly. I'm in the northeast any chance of repairing whatever is wrong?

Sometimes, if the battery gets completely depleted, it will not show any signs of life for 15-20 minutes when first plugged in. So give it half an hour. Also then try rebooting/restarting.
Restart reboot dead
Try performing a hard reset. (Not same as Restart or battery pull.)
Simultaneously press & hold down the Volume Up & Down buttons on side. Keep holding them down. Ignore the shutter sound as it takes a screenshot. Ignore any black & white splashscreens. Release the keys when you see the blue icon startup screen.
