Go to Settings/Display/Swipe to Wake and turn it Off. Then from now on just use the power button on top to wake your device.

I had this same problem when I got my Z10 and it drove me crazy! I don't know why anyone would want to have Swipe to Wake On - it guarantees all kinds of pocket dials!! Also, I think by having it Off you have one less sensor constantly On and using battery power.

Press your top button for a few seconds and then select lock, to lock your screen and prevent this from happening.

You can turn off the "swipe to unlock" to start.

Or place the phone with the screen on the opposite side to your body.

Honestly, I've never really had a problem. Maybe once or twice it's activated in my pocket.

But, I know others have had a problem and turning swipe to make usually helps. Also, I've noted that sometimes when putting it in my pocket I inadvertently swipe well pulling my hand out of my pocket.

I would recommend using a leather pocket pouch made from blackberry for your phone, The magnet inside the pouch automatically puts your phone to sleep. In fact its on sale in shop crackberry

At first swipe up to unlock seemed to me as brilliant option, but after dozen of unintentional calls from roaming, dozen of unintentional photos and sent text messages I can't stand it. It would be better if BBRY use sled to unlock.
