    It says Please try changing your settings. and then has the settings button, but you cannot press it. It also says Software update on the top of the playbook. I haven't had it turned on for a very long time and haven't really used it. Was going to hook it up to wifi for someone. Is there a way to override this?
    I saw something about blackberry id. I do not know this any longer and can't seem to find support for it.

    You should try reloading the OS on the PlayBook; if I remember correctly the final PlayBook update (2.1.0.1917, from April 2014) had fixes for the activations not working.
