I bought in US a Blackberry q10 SQN100-2, but, although my Italian carrier (Vodafone) supports 4g, the phone does not allow me to access it. Is there a way to solve this issue?
Thanks in advance for your support

To get 4G on Voda Italia you need a 100-3. You purchased a US VZW model.

thanks for the replies, but I made all the appropriate actions on the settings, but when I select 4g, 3g and 2g...the 4g suddenly disappears...apparently is a problem of frequency bands. US 700/1700, EU 800/1800..is there any way to change them on the US device?

The bands are flashed at the factory. There's unfortunately no way to change them.

that is what I thought until somebody told me there is the possibility to crack the 100-2 so to make it a kind of 100-3. quite complicated, but feasible.

You have been told this several times in various forums, but you refuse to accept the reality that the frequencies are hardware based. I even saw a silly post from you where you said that a "RIM Engineer" told you that it can be done with software, which is an outright lie.

It cannot be done and a RIM Engineer did not and would not have, told you that it can be done. Why do you continue to insist that it can be? It is disrespectful to those taking their own time to answer your quesrion, and you continue to, in disbelief, waste the time of other people because you simply don't want the answer to be true.

    Why are you doing this?

Very interesting. Who was this so-called "expert"? Where did you find him or her? What are their qualifications that makes them an " expert"? Just curious.
