    Phone - BB passport
    sw release 10.3.3.1435
    OS Version 10.3.3.2163

    Problem
    - first indication was that the time was reset twice three days ago
    - two days ago the phone was getting very warm and the battery was draining quickly (maybe loosing 1% per minute) without doing anything
    - not possible to open anything, mails, settings, camera, battery monitor, apps, ... always the black home screen appeared
    - calling someone possible, not receiving
    - sw reset - waited for 20 minutes - did not help
    - volume keys reset did not help
    - I am hesitant to do a factory reset because I did not back up the phone
    - back up is not possible any more when I connect to BlackBerry Link

Help is much appreciated as I do not want to loose all my data...

Avoid BlackBerry Link at all costs.

Use cloud syncing and Ultimate Backup.

Consider an autoloader over a factory reset.

Download to PC, unzip it, plug in phone, run autoloader.

Thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunately I cannot install anything on the phone as there is nothing working. Only calls are possible. That is the reason to do factory reset or autoloader.

Try to extract as many files you can from your computer over USB. After that, there is nothing else you can really do.

    Thanks, not really promising...
Unfortunately I cannot connect to USB. Computer detects the phone, I can see the directory but as soon as I copy some files (or also wait for a while) the phone is not accessible any more.
There must be some other way to get to the data, hopefully...;(
