When I plug in my Z10 via USB, it is mounted as a CD Drive and I cannot see my pictures etc. on it. It does not have a SD card. I am running windows 8.1.
PS: I can see the files for Bold 9790 (with OS7 I guess)
BB Z10/STL-100-2/10.1.0.4187

You need to install BlackBerry link for that. Otherwise you only see your SD card...
Or you set it up via wifi

Hey, I also faced the same problem. I just installed BlackBerry device manager and now it detects my Z10 as a "network device". I can now access my internal storage.
Does anyone there know if it showing up as a network device is normal?
Showing up as a network device is the correct way for BlackBerry 10 devices to show up. The connection to your PC is in essence a private network set up by the handset.
