You can load Android apps of course, but obviously not Apple.
Use the Amazon Appstore which is on your device already. When you are more proficient, you can learn how to install the Google Play Store from the Cobalt threads.

**** EDIT: Disregard as I didn't notice this was a PlayBook question. See my post#6 below.

On the PlayBook ? Come on.

What? The PlayBook runs Android apps and has the Amazon Appstore?
And this, my friends, is what happens when you try to boost your post count instead of helping someone new to BlackBerry.
@op no, you can't install the Amazon app store (like mentioned above) in the playbook. Nor can you install ios apps. You can, however, install ***a few*** apps after converting them or searching for the ".bar" files online. And then you have to side load them.

Didn't see that at the end of the long title, oops.
OP, on the PlayBook you still can't install Apple apps, but you can install some Android apps.
The Android apps must be Gingerbread or prior, and not use native code. You also have to convert the Android apk to bar file format and then sideload them.

Excuse me? You are seriously accusing me of being here to boost my post count and not help people? Seriously?
Z30STA100-5/10.3.2.2639
Yup, I did it: it's easy to use the cobalt threads to download Google Play Store and to install Android apps. Only problem is I still have not been able to install Google Play Services.... still won't work....

I originally failed to see that this was a PlayBook question too.

not you specifically, but more times than not, certain members answer questions quickly to boost their post count. Those are just my observations. And didn't mean to specifically state you were doing this

What is the point of boosting post count? Do you get to win something? Or is it a self esteem thing? Like, I'm such an overachiever?
Posted via CB10
I don't really know. But take a look at the ask a questions section. I'm not going to name names but certain members continually answer questions as quick as they can with vague or incorrect answers.

You quoted him. What more would you have done if you were singling someone out?
Pot, kettle, blablabla
Anyway, for the OP's question, an app store with a pulse and the PlayBook are mutually exclusive. One or the other.
