    Have a verizon blackberry 9930 and for some reason it says BBM is blocked. And doesn't show the BlackBerry world or and says Brower is blocked too. Even when I connect to wifi it still says blocked. Can someone please help me out with this please?

    When you receive errors like "the browser has been blocked" or "the camera has been blocked", this is more likely because of Parental Controls.*
    Try this;
    Go to Options (the one with the wrench icon)
    Choose Security>Parental Controls.
    Kindly check if Parental Controls is Enabled,
    If it is enabled, see if *"BBM" or any other apps*are NOT Checked
    Uncheck the "Enable" option to fully disable Parental Controls, you will be prompted to enter a 4-digit password. You should know this pasword to be able to perform this task.

    I hope it fixes your problem.

    It says that parental controls is not compatible with devices that use a BlackBerry Enterprise Server

    I don't think so because when I put my sim card in it the calls and texts work just fine.

    Have you the BlackBerry sign visible? Maybe you should pay for BIS... expired contract? Check with your carrier.
    I no longer pay for BIS. My wife took my Bold. All she can do is call and text (sms) but no BBM, no BB-world on the go.

    No there isn't the BlackBerry sign. And I've contacted both carriers BlackBerry and verizon and they couldn't really help.

    So your carrirer does not provide BIS?
    You need it to use the internet functions (push mails, synch calendars) and BBM

    It seems you have an IT policy on your device. You can check it by going to options, type ”Security” and select “Security Status Information”. If it has one you can see it there.
    To delete it, youll have to reset it with the Desktop Software (Help - Support resources - Support tools - Reset to Factory).

    That's what I was thinking that maybe I'll have to connect it to a computer. I remember when a lot of these phones first came out they came with a cd as well.
