Hi, not sure there is a fix beyond getting a new one or the kb replaced. Neither of those are a guarantee either.

Just keep adding exceptions for words as they pop up. Go into your setting and add auto corrects.

Help for double letter when typing Q10-img_20150417_061452.png

The more you add, the less frequently you experience the problem.

Pretty sure you have to either replace the keyboard, or the entire device.

Replacing the keyboard may not help after another year or so, the keyboard could have another issue. Adding exceptions fixes it on the software level which overrides the physical device.

Yeah, you could have a lot, but you'll find that many of the issues repeat themselves often, so fixing it on a software level is the best bet.

I use it so frequently that I don't mind adding the exceptions if it fixes my problem in the long run.

Hmmmmm. Good idea. I never thought of doing that. I got a Q10 replacement which I don't use much (mainly use the Z30), but if it starts doing that again, will take your advice.

So how long has BB had to fix this at software level? Think they ever will?

My Q10 started it about one month out of warranty. My Passport has started it about 2.5 months after purchase. So at least I can get it replaced under warranty. But not sure what good that would do. Everyone I know that has a Passport has this problem.

    Passport & Z30 & Q10 just b/c I do.

Yeah, I agree. It seems like it could be an easy fix. If I can do it, BlackBerry can definitely do it. Just needs auto correct for simpler words. Software usually catches the double type for more complicated and longer words, but words like "itt", it doesn't think about fixing.
