    I need to know if I can use a cable to watch a movie from my Z30 to my TV is it possible to purchase an hdmi cable that will connect ??

    Yes. Buy a microHDMI to HDMI. The port is on the side of your device.

    I bought an HDMI cable as well about 1.5 yr ago, but it's rather inconvenient being tethered to the TV at all times and you cannot use your phone while something is playing on the screen. It got "old" really fast.

    Decided to try out a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter

    Bam!

    Can stream to my TV and check/respond to msgs or surf if I want while the streaming continues in the background and shows on the TV. Perfect solution.

    Bypass the HDMI cable plan you have, spend $10-20 more and get the Microsoft gadget.

    If you do use the HDMI, make sure to also connect the charger. This will help keeping the videostream steady.
