Found this site that actually has customer service phone number, guarantees...' there is a fee, but if you can sync up a fee beats the cost of a new phone when what I have works well other than syncing data

CompanionLink appears to mainly do calendar and contact sync'ing with Outlook. You can sync Office Outlook through Outlook.com to your phone for free.

A less expensive option for just data backup would be Ultimate Backup in BlackBerry World:

What do you need to sync?

It is contacts really. I rarely use the calendar, and I have my information from my computer in one drive and can access it through one drive on my phone if necessary. I guess I will try outlook.com was unaware of this

Look up how to sync your version of Office Outlook to Outlook.com, then add your Outlook.com account to the Hub. This will give you automatic 2-way sync'ing between your PC and phone.
