Assume you are dealing with a BBOS device.... don't remember PB Tools, thats been a number of years.
But I do remember using BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife or another great tool was BBH Tool
BB Curve 9320 & BB Torch 9860.
I have tried using BBH Tool which is great but the phones still have the vodafone splash screen on boot up and shut-down even after an OS re-build.
