google maps is not an offline app. you would need wifi or data to use the app
It is the one feature of gmaps that doesn't work on BB10.
Google Maps works offlile good in android and ios if you have downloaded particular area,,,
Tap on menu and goto offline areas,,, you can download any area,,,
