You want to use a Nav app with wifi only? Not use with mobile data?

Yes, I can get road map ed out before hiking. And use GPS tracking to follow up.

Ok you want an app that you can cache the map first from wifi data then have it render while tracking with GPS only signal and zero data connection.

I used to use to Magellan Compass for that but it is not supported anymore. I have since gone to an offline line map app (Mireo) but it's expensive. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Not sure if you want 'road navigation' or hiking navigation, or which country you are in.

In the Amazon store you can try Waze road navigation which sends a lot of data back to Google, or Michelin Navigation (Europe) , which uses Tom Tom maps, and doesn't.

Maps.me uses Open StreetMaps, and is also good but slower for route finding.

I think all these need a data connection, though.

I use this app a lot on BB10 and love it.

    https://retrace.mobi

It claims to have map caching but I haven't used it. Didn't know I could until now. The dev has been very responsive. She put the 4-wheeler and XC ski activities in for me. Its not free but well worth 5 bucks imo. And if I jump to gooberry, i'll buy it again.

    I asked about caching here:

Strange. Not sure, but I thought BBW adjusted currency based on the country of origin for the sim that is in it. Maybe you don't have a sim in it.
