Is it possible to re-set password and still view text messages.

Are text messages saved to the device or sim card?

I have had my blackberry stolen and need certainty that my messages can not be accessed. If the password is not know is it 100% guaranteed that my messages can not be read?

It is possible BUT If your device is password protected it is highly unlikely that anyone can access your device data without knowing the password.

If you have a BlackBerry 10 device and you have enabled BlackBerry Protect you should be able to remotely wipe the stolen phone by logging in to your BBid and Protect.

I should add that your password cannot be reset without the appropriate BBID and again without entering the correct device password your device should not be easily accessible and your messages should remain private.
