Facebook, Messenger and instagram

Hello everyone, evening salutations. I would love to know the possibility of downloading and installing the above named Apps (facebook, Fb messenger, instagram etc) without having to go through the money exhorting process of upgrading. I had to pay a culminating sum of 1850 (USD 4.9) to download the whatsapp that I now use, and that's not getting funny at all. Now, I am asked to upgrade my Facebook, Messenger, instagram etc Apps before I can access certain crucial features.
