I recently purchased the DTEK60 and am wondering if there is an extended warranty available for it. I don't see anything on the ShopBlackBerry website. My kids handle my phone quite often and a cracked screen or broken phone is bound to happen.

BlackBerry isn't offering extended warranties for the DTEK devices, not sure if it's because they were manufactured by Alcatel or not. So you're looking at a third party warranty from somewhere like Square Trade, Best Buy, your carrier (if they allow insurance for BYOD, AT&T didn't for me), your own home/rental insurance, etc. I ended up going without, after five different smartphones in my lifetime thus far I have yet to suffer a major catastrophe.
