I know how to go into the settings and adjust or turn off auto correct. But does anyone know if there is an easier way to do it, from the actual keyboard while you are composing a message?

Thanks. I was inquiring for those situations where you want to just write ad hoc without the correction, like write an odd word in foreign language.

You turn off auto correct, and suddenly a lot of spelling mistakes are happening with a touch keyboard. So it would be nice for a quick way to turn off and on.

This is where having a physical keyboard would destroy any touch keyboard. You have the added accuracy, and flexibility to write what you want easily.
