    looking to upgrade to blackberry that supports android apps should i get the Dtek50 or wait for the Dtek60 aka Argon to come out? and would anyone have an educated guess for the price difference between the two?

    My guess, $150 difference. But get the 60 if you have the means.

    Look at the difference between the Alcatel idol 4 and the Dtek 50.

    Now go and have a look at how much the Alcatel idol 4s is and add that amount and I bet you have your price....

    The DTEK60 is a lot more phone than a 4S. 4GB ram and 820 SoC (instead of 3GB and 652).

    My guess is $399 + $100 BlackBerry value-add.

    Am I confusing it with a different phone? - at least one site said it matched perfectly in spec terms with an Alactel device - maybe the idol 4 pro?

    Yeah looks like DTEK60 is idol4 pro/ TCL 950

    Except the Pro has a different display and different cameras.

    The TCL950 reference design seems bang on, yet Alcatel does not yet appear to have a direct descendant of that design yet.

    I want one. But I just got my passport so I don't think I could justify another new phone. My wife frowned when she even caught me looking at a 9900. Boy I want one of those older phones too.
