Dropbox is such type of cloud service in which people can transfer their data from one place to their cloud. So,if someone sends u a data, then he must open the Dropbox with the same login ID as yours. In other words, Dropbox is just for viewing the same data on different pc,mobile, etc just by logging with same login ID.its different from Google drive.thats why : u r not getting the data in your Dropbox
Conclusion : Dropbox is for viewing and storing data so that people can access the same data from different places. It's not for sending data to others
NOTE: Dropbox is different from Google drive.
Hope your problem is answered

Well thanks for the answer and I see that it says you are using BlackBerry leap so u have bb10, I'm aware what dropbox is used for you say they have to use my login info to send me something I don't understand so ur saying that one dropbox user can't transfer stuff to another drop box user from their account to another account?

Yeah u got it right, I'm saying that, u can only transfer data to another person IF U HAVE THE LOGIN ID( DROPBOX) OF THE PERSON U R SENDING. In other words, u have to open the Dropbox and login with the id of that person u want to send, then upload the data from your device to Dropbox, U CAN'T SEND FROM DROPBOX TO DROPBOX. U CAN SEND BY UPLOADING THE SAME FILE TO THE OTHERS PERSON DROPBOX.

Completely and thoroughly incorrect. Dropbox has several options for sharing files from your Dropbox account to someone else's, or through a web link to someone who doesn't even have a Dropbox account.
Yes, you can easily share DropBox files with anyone. I regularly use DropBox to send large files which are too large to email directly. I email the shared link and tell them to ignore the prompt to login and just click on the direct download button.
