Does an unlocked z30 sta 100-3, work in Europe (Austria drei)? I only need 3G.

I am an exchange student in the US and I will change from an iPhone 4 to a z30. I bought a z30 at amazon warehouse, the description was not very clear but I was thinking I will get a sta100-2 or 5. Because I doesn�t have a LTE plan both of them would be fine. But I got a Verizon unlocked! It seems like the frequencies are ok but I want to be sure that it will work properly. I will leave the US next week, so I don�t have much time to figure out if it is working! Please could you help me!

You will get 3G/HSPA+ in damn near all of Europe, and of course 2G. You pretty much won't be getting LTE there though.

I have a sqn 100-3 and it works well.
2g up to 4g...i'm in belgium

SQN100-3 is very different from a STA100-3. First, it's a Q10. STA100-3 is a Z30. Second, the SQN -3 is the ROW model, which is perfect for Europe. The STA -3 is the Verizon model, which is perfect for...Verizon.

STA100-2 is the ROW Z30, and SQN100-2 is the Verizon Q10.

Just to put your mind at rest, if you purchase a phone these days, no matter where you go in the world you will always have 2G connection. I'm currently using a Unlocked BlackBerry Leap from the USA in Africa and it's working well on 3G / H+ :)

Sadly no LTE-A, but that's a minor inconvenience.
