I have a Z30 & my wife has a Q10. We would very much like to try out one of the new item tracking devices (e.g. TrackR, StickNFind, ProTag) but so far I have not been able to get any of the Android applications to run. The closest so far is ProTag, but it appears to require google services to get signed-in to their service to get to 1st base in their application. I am also wondering if an eventual update to 10.3 could improve matters.

    Thanks

Yes, you need the Amazon App Store to be installed, which give you google play services to get this going.

And yes, hopefully, the Android runtime will get even better with the update due out in a month or two.....according to rumors....
Right now on my '30, I find that about 90 percent of the apps do run fine, and hopefully that will increase with the update.

Amazon app store doesn't support Google Play. Many BTLE devices still won't work with BB10, which is a real shame.
