I have been using my Bold 9900 for over 2.5 years. Couple of weeks ago, when I tried to unlock it, its screen came up as a dim blank backlit. No content. Cannot see what I type or anything. But its responding. I can make calls blindly etc.
When rebooted, the display came back on absolutely normal. As long as I do not let the display go off, all is well. However, if I lock the phone or just the screen, or if the display goes off while it is idle (max 2 mins), it refuses to come on again. It does seem like its on as a dim blank backlit screen. The touch is active, keys are active, calls are active. Everything but the screen is working fine. Every time I reboot, the screen comes on fine and continues to be fine until the display goes off to sleep mode.

Any solutions to diagnose/fix the problem please!?

Hi! Sounds to me like you might need the screen replaced?

Don't know. Will be taking it to the service center soon. However, if the display was broke, I wonder why the display would come on fine when I do a battery pull.
