    Greetings all. In hopes of speeding up my phone, I thought I would clean out my Hub. When choosing "Delete Prior" facebook messages it tells me that all prior messages will be permanently deleted. Is there anyway to remove them from my phone without actually deleting them from my facebook account?

    I am using the BlackBerry Facebook app; not using a Facbook Messanger app.

    Yes they will be deleted from the app and Facebook also.

    If you log out, then log in again, they will all return, so in short, no they are not deleted from Facebook, just the hub.

    That's not true at all. They're only deleted from your device/Hub.

    How come when I deleted mine from the hub, they got deleted from facebook as well?

    So that's two they will be permanently deleted and two they won't. This makes me nervous about trying it, LOL!

    I know my wife did the same thing, and they were all deleted on Facebook as well. But I haven't asked her if they all came back or not on Facebook.

    I'm gonna go out a limb and just say, like everything Facebook on BlackBerry 10, it's all rather broken which would explain why some have it actually work (deletion of the messages) and others do not (return of the messages). That said, in my experience, they have pretty much always come back via Facebook.

    Thanks for the feedback, all. I'm going to set up a test account to try this before I do it on mine. And if it works, I'll hope that I get the same results on my real account!
