Is it possible to completely conceal the password while typing? I mean like when typing a password it would only show ***** instead of showing the character first before *. I hope you guys get what I mean.

I'm using a BlackBerry Passport by the way .

I think they are talking about when typing in the password to unlock the device it briefly shows the letters.

Yes! That's what I meant! It briefly shows the characters but I don't like it like that. I want it to not show the letters at all if possible.

Switch to picture password. It's awesome. Someone can watch you a thousand times and have no idea what you're doing. I find it quicker than typing in 4 numbers too.

Yes I'm using picture password but it doesn't really solve the issue because there are still times I need to type a password like when using the browser when accessing an account or tweeking some settings.

There are no options or settings to control this. It simply is as it is.

Best thing to do is to type it fast because the vulnerability of the letters only show until the next letter is typed.

I like it the way it is now, because with my Q10 I have the double typing issue, so I want to know which characters just have been pressed.

I think this password can't be read as fast, until someone is really, really looking at the screen and the password has a meaning. So may be you change the password in sth that can't be read.

"rwteuwjs" is better than "cutecat" for example... oh, and hide your screen from curious eyes anyway!!!

Showing the password characters briefly when typing them sucks when you have you phone connected to a big screen.

Happened to me a couple times while doing presentations and had phone connected to a projector or miracast.

Rotate the phone 90 degrees to the left to landscape orientation, notice the screen will not flip. Hold the top of your phone with your left hand covering the top half of the screen. Use your right hand to enter the password. No one will see the password displayed because it will be hidden from view.

Oh so there really is no option yet. Thank you all. My password's too long with numbers for others to get it out right from peaking but I was used to it being completely concealed. Too bad. I guess I'll just have to deal with it.
