    Hey everyone!

Absolute noob here. Not nearly as computer savvy as I once was. I was hoping to download some android apps on to my z10 and I have no clue where to get started.

From what I can tell I have to side load snap and download some launchers?

I'm super confused lol basically I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of how to get started or give me a link to some kind of guide for noobs.

Thanks in advance for any help!

You don't have to download launchers. If you're on 10.2.1, you just have to sideload Snap and then download the apps you want.

A video I watched today showed a fella downloading Google maps and while it was downloading he opened some launchers I assume and made his phone appear to be running android. I thought that was pretty snazzy and I'd enjoy doing that lol

If you download snap, you can download launchers and use them

Hey man thanks for your reply! I understand what a search feature does and I did of course try that before I made a post

However, I still had a hard time figuring out my first step, and I had hoped someone would point me in the right direction. Not sure if you've noticed but there a quite a few threads to search through. No need to be sarcastic I guess I'll just fumble through it on my own.

    in your phone:
    • go to settings -> app manager -> installing apps
    • select "Allow Apps from other sources to be installed" to ON
    • close it.
    • in your phone web browser type: Install amazon appstore
    • follow search results.
    • Click on Download the Amazon AppStore
    • Install the Android app store.
    • If needed - same procedure applies to 1Mobile app store or any other android app store (use google?)

    DONE.

So I've downloaded the Java runtime I believe and I've downloaded the DDPB but when I try to log in to DDPB using my IP address is says "'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command", and wont allow me to proceed. Any tips for this?

Just go to https://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.ht...UvbUpU11030997 on your browser and install amazon appstore from your phone, no extra steps. Then install what you want

The app I want isn't on the Amazon app. I was hoping to get snap because I saw it on the pictures in the thread

Nope I think I've got it. I used the Chrome app manager instead of DDPB and it worked flawlessly. I am installing the game now via snap on my phone

I've installed the app but when I try to open it, it just closes itself out. Does this mean I have to patch it somehow?
