A Telstra in-store tech today somehow managed to change the lock screen password of my Classic, now up to attempt 9/10.

Trying to figure out how she did it so I can make a guess at what the new code could be (it definitely isn't my old one - my birth year). Does the new lock code have to be entered twice? (can't find a screen cap from a Classic to confirm).

Thinking maybe she only used the alt-key once while entering a year, but would she have had to do it twice?

Really hoping not to wipe it.

You need to get that screen unlock code regardless, that's the only way to keep from having to wipe.
