I am new to Blackberry and just got a classic. My previous smartphone died and could not transfer my contacts to my new Classic BB. So I am planning to put a message to my email contacts (not from the BB as I don't have data...) and Facebook so people can text me with their name & phone # which I want to put in the BB contact list? Is there a fast way? \Please advise. Thanks
Yes. If you recieve a text message (sms), you see the number. Hold the thumb on it (about 1-2 seconds), then you can chose "add to contacts". Easy and a good way.
Betw.: it's a good way to "filter" your contacts... those who answer/send you the text message still want to be in your contact list ;-)
