I still have SR 10.2.1.2156 as my official OS on the Q10 above, but I've had SR 10.2.1.2977 for weeks on my unlocked ShopBlackberry purchased Z10. Will I receive an official update soon from T-Mobile on my carrier unlocked Q10, or must I go another route because it is now unlocked? Is T-Mobile still pushing out official updates for BlackBerry phones?

From posts I've seen in CB, TMO is done pushing out updates to its BB10 customers. Unlocked or locked would not have made a difference, but you won't get an official update from TMO. So you'll have to explore the other options you mention. Keep in mind, they might break WiFi calling--if that's something important to you.

It seems that there are still a good number of TMO customers like myself, and that BlackBerry would have provided a fall-back position for all of us. If my Q10 is now carrier unlocked, can I download the latest official update from an official BlackBerry webpage? (And what page would that be?) Thanks!

If one has an unlocked SBB phone (which you do, OP,) you can still get official (non-TMO) updates on your phone. Just take the TMO SIM card out before you check for updates on WiFi. But again, what you download may end up breaking WiFi calling.
