So we have a brand new Z30, just out of the box (warranty replacement from blackberry) factory loaded with 10.3.1. We hooked it up to LINK and went through the update process...took about a half hour to an hour, it seemed to load and go through the entire process. When it was completed we disconnected the device, but it still shows its running 10.3.1.....its like nothing ever happened, and no update was performed.

    Any thoughts? Thanks!

    Autoloader? Better than Link, usually.

Corporate rules won't allow it. Do you think it could have anything to do with Link, maybe a fresh install of the software?

Link is VERY flaky and may cause problems. You certainly should try a fresh install but make sure ALL remnants of the previous install are gone or better yet, put a fresh install of Link on a PC that has never had Link before.

I was thinking the same thing about a separate machine.....what are your thoughts on OTA? I'm usually opposed to it.

If I can get an exception for an autoloader (not holding my breath), what do you feel is the most stable build?

Since your device is new and you have no data to worry about, I would go OTA. If problems then arise (and I highly doubt that there will be any) you could always try to get an autoloader exception from your IT dept. I would also go to the latest (and perhaps last 10.3.3.2205) but if you are really concerned about 10.3.3 then 10.3.2.2813 would be my pick. Good Luck with your choice!
