    Just look at the screen shot. When I touch reply arrow mark, keyboard it showing up and I can't reply from where I was. Either hub or the app needs to be opened to reply. Having this problem just now. It was working fine.
    Also the contacts pic is not showing up. Either the whatsapp or bbm symbol shows up.
    I did a soft reset(pressing volume up and down keys for 10 seconds) today. Could there be any relation between the problem and reset?
    Any possible cause and a solution.?

    That happens to me as well, and only a reboot works for me. It can get frustrating but it's the only way I've found.

    After reboot, its working but still contacts picture doesn't show up. Only whatapp or bbm symbol shows up.

    Try to reload your software after you backed everything up.

    It will force you to reinstall WhatsApp and it will work
