[CrackBerry Question]

When my KEY2 updated to Abe181, I no longer received cell service. After troubleshooting, I found I had to change the APN from the default Nxtgenphone to "att phone", which I had to add manually. Now I have mobile service but while I can receive text messages, I can no longer receive MMS messages. I think it may be because of the att Nextgenphone APN which I'm not even using - I tried to delete it, which I read may solve the problem but can't figure out how to do that. Anyone have this problem and/or know how to fix it?

You can't delete the base APN unless you add another APN. (And chances are it'll come back anyways since its inserted by the network/SIM) Go to Settings>Network & internet, tap on Cellular Networks, Tap on Access Point Names, then tap on the + in the top right and create whatever APN you think you need. The correct AT&T settings are here - https://forums.crackberry.com/e?link...token=k4NyqIiF. You can then switch to your newly created APN.

After much research and reading lots of blackberry forum posts from frustrated Blackberry users regarding MMS issues, I finally found the solution by copying this setting from the AT&T website.

There is a difference in the APN type list that makes MMS work!!! It MUST read exactly: APN Type: default,supl,mms,hipri


Here are the complete APN settings for Blackberry Android devices for PureTalkUSA, AT&T has similar settings with a sight change to name/APN.

There was no need for a reset, after changing the APN type list, it worked after about 5 seconds.
