Just recently my BlackBerry Z10 started acting up, after 7 years of use. Whenever I try and open an app, the window opens and then just disappears. With my email, I tap on the message that I want to read, and the screen just flickers without opening the email messages. I've pulled out the battery, did multiple reboots, pressed the volume up and down keys with the power button at the same time to no avail. I'm stumped. I've tried to do a backup on BlackBerry Link but it doesn't work. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great.

Probably time for a new device. You have had your money's worth on that Z10. As a last resort, make sure you backup your contacts, put all your pics and documents etc on an SD card (if they aren't already) and re-load your Z10 with the newest autoloader that can be found here on the CB forums. In other words, start all over again with a fresh OS. Good Luck on your choice.

Connected my Z10 to BlackBerry Link and did a complete wipe and reinstall of the OS. Success! It's like brand new.

Glad to hear it worked out for you. Just like any computer that has been used for ages, it is good to sometimes start all over from scratch. Think of all the "junk" that you have collected over the years clogging up your device.
