    I have a Torch 9800 that:
    - will dial out,
    - connect with target,
    - target can hear me,
    - I am unable to hear dial tone and target voice.

    Inbound and outbound calls work through Bluetooth speaker and calls received ring on Torch however I am unable to use handset mode to hear anything.

    Any ideas???

    Reinstall OS?

    What have you already attempted to fix it?

    Trouble shooting to date:

    Rebooted
    Removed / reinstalled CIM card
    Checked Mobile Network, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections.

    Did not re-install OS (don't know how)

    How to Reload the Operating System on a Nuked or Bricked BlackBerry | CrackBerry.com <-- That guide is strill pretty much applicable for reloading your OS though honestly, I doubt it will help. Sounds more like hardware failure than anything else.
