    Using a Leap running 10.3.3.2137. If I tap on the BlackBerry World app it says "No Network Connection". When I then go into settings and select either a WiFi or mobile network connection it just sits there and "thinks" forever. Solutions?

    Overview
    When launching BlackBerry World on a BlackBerry 10 smartphone, the following error message is displayed;
    No Network Connection
    To continue, connect to Wi-Fi or mobile network in Settings.

    Cause
    The BlackBerry World application requires to be updated to the latest available version before it can be accessed on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone.

    The following steps can be used to determine the BlackBerry World application version:
    Swipe down from the top of the screen and select Settings from the pull down menu
    Locate and tap on Storage and Access from the Setting list
    Tap on the Device Storage Details button
    Locate and tap on BlackBerry World from the list of applications
    The application version will be stated at the top of the Details section under Version
    BlackBerry World application versions earlier than 5.4.0.8 will display this issue

    Resolution
    Manually install BlackBerry World 5.4.0.8 to the BlackBerry 10 smartphone from a computer. To manually install BlackBerry World, complete the following;
    On the BlackBerry 10 smartphone, enable Development mode
    Tap Settings
    Tap Security and Privacy
    Tap Development Mode
    Verify the IP Address listed is 169.254.0.1
    Toggle Development Mode to ON.
    As a device password is needed to turn on Development mode, enter the device password when prompted. Should a device password not be created, a prompt will be given to create one
    Connect the BlackBerry 10 smartphone to the computer via USB and complete the below steps accordingly.

    Windows
    On the computer;
    Ensure Java is installed. Click here to find steps on how to determine if Java is installed.
    Ensure the BlackBerry USB drivers or BlackBerry Link are installed.
    For system requirements for BlackBerry Link for Windows, click here
    Download the BlackBerry World – Recovery Tool 0.9 and extract the blackberry-appworld-update-0.9 folder this to the computer
    Open the extracted blackberry-appworld-update-0.9 folder
    Open / Run appworld-update.bat
    Enter the device password.
    For security reasons, the device password will not be shown
    Press Enter
    Once the installation is completed, result::success will be displayed. The application can now be closed and the BlackBerry 10 smartphone may be disconnected from the computer.
    On the BlackBerry 10 smartphone, turn off Development mode by restarting the BlackBerry 10 smartphone or toggling OFF Development mode in the Settings of the device.

    Mac OS X / macOS
    On the computer;
    Ensure JDK is installed. To install Java SE Development Kit 14, click here.
    Ensure the BlackBerry USB drivers or BlackBerry Link are installed.
    For system requirements for BlackBerry Link for Mac OS X, click here
    Download the BlackBerry World – Recovery Tool 0.9 and extract the blackberry-appworld-update-0.9 folder this to the computer
    Open the extracted blackberry-appworld-update-0.9 folder
    Open / Run appworld-update-mac
    Enter the device password.

    Press Enter

    Additional Information
    If the device password be entered incorrectly, the application will need to be closed and reopened.

    Should the application be launched and development mode is OFF, the development mode IP address is not set to 169.254.0.1, or if the computer cannot detect the connected BlackBerry 10 smartphone, the following message will be displayed;
    Error: Cannot connect: Connect to /169.254.0.1:443 timed out. Please check IP address settings for the target. You may have to reboot the target.

    Mac OS X / macOS specific

    Should the message appworld-update-mac was blocked from use because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed appear, complete the following
    Select the Apple menu
    Select System Preferences
    Select Security & Privacy
    Tab General
    Select Open Anyways next to appworld-update-mac was blocked from use because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.
