I left my dictation device at another office and have been using my blackberry 10 to send voice-notes to my transcription person - I could email them fine and play them on my Windows 10 Computer from the "file opening" area but not from within Outlook, where I got a comparability message or warning concerning the Windows Media player- so it will not play in Outlook, and the recipient too cannot open the M4P file-what is to be done! ?!

Do you want to convert them to mp3? If so, you could try an online converter program.

Or, if not, open a Dropbox account that you can share with your transcription person, and upload the files to the dropbox account.

MP4 is a video format and depending on the Windows version, Windows Media Player might not be able to play them.

Ask your recipient to install the free VLC Media Player from VideoLan.org. It will play almost any video or audio format.

You also shouldn't have a problem if you save them in MP3 audio format.
