Can I put a sprint phone number on an unlocked Q5?

I want a blackberry q5 but it is not available for sprint. If i Purchase an unlocked q5 can i put a sprint phone number on it?

Will not work on Sprint network. You may transfer the number to another network but only Sprint branded phones work on their network.
