    1. As from the answer I got, you can not install a blackberry blend on an overseas laptop (singapore) and pair it with blackberry passport here (sydney). It has to be set up on the same place (using the usb cable or the same wifi). So setup using internet connection is simply impossible. Is this correct?

    2. If set up was made here in sydney (the blackberry passport stationed in sydney) and after pairing or installation, bring the laptop to singapore. Can we still use the blend on that laptop and answer all sms & emails etc coming through the blackberry passport? From Singapore?

My plan is to install the blackberry blend in my computer here and on a laptop in singapore. So I am able to reply from here and someone I appointed can also reply in singapore.

Installation of blackberry blend on a laptop with blackberry passport. Does it have to be on the same place, closed together using wifi or cable?
For the installation portion, yes. It needs to make that initial contact over the same network or using a cable.

Somehow related: when installing the newest update of BlackBerry Desktop for Windows software, is it recommended to uninstall older versions first? Or, am I good to run the installer over the old versions?

I uninstalled and reinstalled this morning and when you uninstall all your backups are uninstalled as well. Be warned!

BlackBerry Blend. If you use your phone in one country and your friend uses a laptop other side of the world and you both will get msgs at the same time.
