Hi.. I have an idea and I would like to share with BB. I didn't get any link on mian portal so using your portal to convey my message.

Can BB modify the Q5 as a junior passport or simply by changing the keypad like the passport. Just inhance some other thing like battery backup and rest as per current market std. I think Q5 is already packed with essential things we just need to modify.

It simply launch it within a range 200$-250$. It's better if BB focus on competitve cost. I have also thought a name that is Q5.5. Just kidding..

Please share this message to BB. That's it!!

I don't think repackaging old hardware is the answer, maybe a smaller Passport but slightly thicker to pack all that passport goodness in. Give it rounded corners and a near indestructible frame and you might have a phone that would appeal to those working in the field or kids etc. Sell it for 100 less than full size Passport and away you go.

Yes a mini Passport is a good idea but NOT the square screen. The device should be taller and narrower with a 4:3 screen. The square screen only works well from a ergonomic standpoint with a small 3 inch screen

Once the keys will be shrinked to just 3 rows.. the screen size will definitely increase.. So, I was just wodering if BB can focus on mini /junior passport.. As these days all phones are BIG in size and you can't operate them single handed.. so it's good if BB work on Q5..

Screens can only be certain formats ( unless you have a hugely popular phone). It is the screen format which determines the device size.

I think BlackBerry halted the Q5 production, so its not likely to see an upgrade or design change.
