many people got it free this weekend. I missed the giveaway but hope someone who got the app can tell us about it. Alicia had quite a nice review too.

Well, that depends on what you are looking for?

    If you need:
    - manual focus ability (set focus using slider)
    - setting very high ISO value (currently at the expense of quality, but will change with release of Enhanced mode)
    - setting White Balance manually and not let camera decide it for you (in some cases camera select not correct values)
    - being able to change EV offset (I found it useful in bright daylight day when a subject is on very bright background)
    - having timer and time lapse photography
    - being able to silent the camera (without silencing the other notifications)

you may consider Camera++ as a good purchase (also taking into account that developer already has quite few good additions in his roadmap that will be revealed in next releases)

    If you need:
    - video mode
    - time-shift mode
    - HDR mode (in Camera++ its extended version is/will be available in 10.3)

then it's not very good purchase now, since video mode is still not present in Camera++ (it will become available soon), time-shift mode will be offline in 10.3 (means you'll be able to take pictures and use time-shift mode in Pictures app), HDR is not available in OS lower than 10.3.

    Hope this helps

    Disclaimer: I'm a beta-tester of Camera++ app

Interesting proposal You propose someone to buy an app that has the exact same price and half of features

Yes, it is. It's astonishing, it takes much better pictures than the built-in photo app. It has a better noise reduction, you can move the focus around and it has also many interesting options. Indeed I'm angry that I didn't install it before my holidays.

You can move focus also in built in camera, just drag it

because it's counterintuitive they finally changed it in 10.3, now it's also tap to focus and special button to take pic
