Sorry about that-yes you do need a pc. 10.3.1.2480 makes my Passport the BEST phone I've ever owned. I had some flickering with the last official update but it wasn't a deal breaker but when I put that last leak on at 10am Feb 24th this phone has been flawless.

alternatively, you could load 10.3.0 back onto your phone using sachesi.
I promise you that a new passport will not have 10.3.1 pre-loaded. otherwise it isn't new!

Andrew, 10.3.1 has issues with limited Passports only, not all passports are facing issues, u go ahead and take it, its really a great phone and if if if suppose you face a problem in 10.3.1 very soon we are going to have a remedy officially.

Answer to your question : as soon as you will start your phone, it will automatically start looking for updates and it will download it if u r in wifi, if u r not in wifi it may ask you your permission.

Be worth it though all you have to do is conect it to a pc and use a satchy thingy and the phones flawless...

Actually I started to love my Passport but after the update I really hate it. Unfortunately I have updated my z10 too so no chance to go back. Even with the backup files...they are not working at all after the update...I really don't think BlackBerry goes on the good way as this issues and the number of issues for a business target are not really allowed...or they must solve the problem in a day! But the blend has a lot of issues on win7 ea. Passport has issues with screen flashing and other which is not really acceptable at all! So BlackBerry should works on the problem instead of making new phones with the same specification as a two years old phone... Wtf?! BlackBerry...what are you doing?! If you have a great product why did you make it rubbish?!

Why would we sideload anything?! It must be smooth especially with the official update/upgrade! Must not have screen flickering or something like that...even BlackBerry official apps are not working not available for passport with 10.3.1

Mate, the update went wrong, we know it. Now, you have two options:

1. download and sideload 10.3.1.2480, it will solve your phone problems and you can go back to enjoying life. (it's really not that hard to do)
2. keep complaining, which after all the support you got from the community, I find that stupid now...
