Bold 9000 won't boot - can I recover information from backup

Bold 9000 is an old phone (replaced it with a Z10).

The Bold won't boot, even on what I think is a full battery (I charged it several times, both via plug and USB) so the BlackBerry Desktop Manager can't connect to it. And of course because it won't turn on I can't see any of my data and I think I have some phone #s in there I need.

On my PC I see that there ARE several backup files for the Bold.

How can I open / use those backup files to locate the data I need?

have you been able to extract your data for your new phone? You can connect to BB Desktop Manager and choose to restore your contact info I believe from your backups on your hard drive. Have you solved this issue??
