OS 10 users report a global down of BlackBerry World in a lot of threads. Some also report that it is impossible to registrate new BlackBerry IDs in different countries. What do you know about it ?

Working for me just fine in the US. (CORRECTION: I can get to BlackBerry World but can not download updates.).

This seems like a real outage.

It's been like 3 years guys. BlackBerry has moved away from BB10 and BBos and BB handsets, it's time to grab something else. Same with the XP holdouts.

With BB10 nowadays barely being a blip in the mobile OS radar, I guess BlackBerry deemed the BBW issue not worth mentioning at all.

Yes, but BlackBerry still claims to support BB10 (basically in maintenance mode), so they are still obligated to maintain a basic level of service.

Emtek moved BBM to Google Servers....

I wouldn't be suppressed if BlackBerry isn't also offloading legacy "servers" to the cloud too - it's much more cost effective than maintaining their own equipment. And can easily be scaled to usage.

I agree that they ought to warn customers of an outage, but they probable didn't really plan for there to be one. But lets face it... the customer base still using BB10 isn't really of much concern to BlackBerry.

While inability to access BBW is an inconvenience for a few... the inability to setup a new phone or a wiped phone is more of an issue that some are facing.

OK, now back to topics about more important things. The ONLY issue with losing BlackBerry World for me would be if I had to reload BB10 and couldn't download Connect to OneDrive. But people not being able to download apps they've paid for is a significant issue for the people affected, especially since there are no mother ways to get many of those apps.
