    Looking for help. The "HANDSET" mode on my Blackberry Torch 9810 suddenly stopped working yesterday. The only way that I can receive or make calls is by using the "SPEAKER" mode. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    ...I think that you can get BlackBerry Virtual Expert in the App World...it can run tests on various parts of the phone.

    I have it on all my BB10 devices, and I think I have it too on my Bold 9900...not sure about my 9800...have a look.

    If it fails the test, you can probably get new ear speaker modules...and they aren't too hard to swap out.

    ...on a side thought, you do still have the the mode available to you in the menu right?

    I did find the microphone, thanks. Yes, the mode is still available in the menu. My problem is that when I try to answer an incoming call or place a call, I do not hear anything when the phone is in "HANDSET" MODE. I only hear line noise and/or voice when using "SPEAKER" MODE.

    I am still using my awesome Torch 9810 after buying a new BB Android phone. Funny, though. This new dtek50 is doing something similar - The speakerphone option goes silent and I can only use the handset mode or the headset mode. For me, it says it's on speaker mode. But it's as if the volume is at 0.
    Different operating systems. I've never experienced what you're dealing with on my Torch. Good luck to you.
