Try pulling the battery out while the phone is still on, leave for a minute then put the battery for back and try to turn on. If not it sounds like the on/off button is damaged

Never pull the battery with the device on. Although there are some protections in place, it could cause the OS to become corrupted.

It worked with my old Q10 and it was the network who told me to try it.

I don't often disagree with you BUT I have been yanking the battery out of my spare Z10 for 2 years (countless times) because the on/off button has been broken for that time. I just back out of any open apps then pull the battery out. Not one time have I had an OS corruption. Maybe in the latter versions of BB10 stability was improved???

edit: although, I believe BB themselves has a blurb to the effect of: "Power off your device before removing the battery" somewhere on their website.

It's just a matter of stats and probability.
