[CrackBerry Question]

Hi.

I've had my BlackBerry PRIV for about 2 weeks and recently I've noticed that if I use my phone for a longer period of time eg. Playing a game or watching a video on YouTube, the bottom ( and only the bottom) part of the screen ( the part with triangle ,circle and square) becomes unresponsive.

I've turned on touch locations in developer options to see if anything is registering and it looks like anything on the bottom parts is unavailable.

I can rotate the screen to use the three buttons on the other end of the screen so I don't think it's the BlackBerry launcher.

Sometimes it takes a very long while to get everything working again , sometimes it takes a few restarts and sometimes I have to turn the phone off for a while hoping it will work again when I turn it on.

Has anyone experienced anything like this befor ?

Any ideas on what could cause this ?

Btw , I've bought the phone second hand from eBay , the seller claimed it's absolutely perfect.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have not seen this as a common complaint.

I'd do a Factory Reset to try and rule out it being some software issue. Still happens, I'd contact the seller... see where that goes.

You could try disassembling the phone and checking connections between the screen and the main board.... but it's probable internal to the digitizer... heats up with use and breaks some connection, cools down and it works again. Sadly PRIV screens are probably more than you paid for a used PRIV.

I've done a factory reset first time this happened hoping it would be a software related issue.

That didn't help , I've messaged the seller already , just waiting for a reply.

Is there a way to check if the digitizer or lcd has been replaced without opening the phone ? ( probably a silly question but worth a go ).
